Biography of Johann Christian Bach (1735-1782)

Born in Leipzig, the youngest son of Johann Sebastians (seventh child)
1750
Move to Berlin after the death of his father. He grows up at his brothers Carl Philipp and becoms musical education there.
1756
To Bologna for counterpoint lessons with Padre Martini. After conversion to catholizism he became domeorganist in Milan
Move to Naples and devotion to the opera
Lifelong friend of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozarts
1762
Arrival in London being musical master of the young wife of Georg III. There he becomes one of the most important musicians of his time.
1764
Foundation of the Bach-Abel-Concerts together mit Carl Friedrich Abel.
1770
Beginn of a friendship with the flutist Wendling from Mannheim
Was called the english, welsh or knightly Bach and was during 18th century the most popular of all Bachs
