• Since 1705 living in London (therefore his nickname: "John of London")
• First flutist at the Haymarket Theatre
• Made the flute popular in england
• Wrote sonatas for flute and was one of the first composers to write soli for it.
• Made a fortune of about 16000 poands mainlyby teaching
• Died 1730 at London
