Ernesto Köhler

• Born on the 4th of december 1849 in Modena
• Lessons with his father
• Was said to be the best flutist of his time.
• Wrote more than 100 pieces for flute, mostly etudes (the romantic etudes I like best)
• 1869 appointment as first flutist of the "Reichs orchestra" in St. Petersburg
• Died on the 17th of march 1907 in St. Petersburg
