Member of the the band of the Swiss Guards after his employment with the cardinal ends due to the imprisonment of the cardinal

Hif flute method "Nouvelle Mèthode Théorique et Pratique pour la flûte" is published (for flute with one key)

Dies in the madhouse at Charenton near Paris probably of excessive labour.
Wrote six operas, 18 flute concertos, several symphonies and two " symphonies conertantes" for flute and orchestra. The rediscovery of his work in our days is due to Rampal
