Scholarship in Vienna through support of Brahms. Later Brahms was also helpful to him for publication of his works by Simrock.

The death of Dvorak badly hits Suk

In July Otile dies of an heart disease

Mourning about the loss of those deeply loved persons will not end until his death

Tow days after the proclamation of Czechoslovak independence, Suk is honoured by a concert of his own works.
