Teacher of Paris conservatory after Taffanel died

Concert tour with great successes in Bonn and Frankfurt/Main
He played with Busoni, Casella, Enesco and others. He was befriended with Chaminade, Fauré, Hüe, d´Indy, Koechlin and Widor, who also wrote music for him.
Among his private and conservatory students were Moyse, Leroy and Joseph Rampal (father of Jean-Pierre)

He dedicates his only composition Rêverie-Caprice to his friend Goldberg

Plays the premiere of the Flute Sonata op. 52 by Charles Koechlin

Dies in Primel Tregastel (Bretagne)
